🍎 Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops with Apples & Onions
Ingredients:
- •4 boneless or bone-in pork chops
- •2 apples, sliced
- •1 medium sweet onion, sliced
- •1 cup apple cider
- •1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- •1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- •1 tablespoon butter
- •1 tablespoon olive oil
- •½ teaspoon cinnamon
- •½ teaspoon garlic powder
- •Salt, to taste
- •Black pepper, to taste
- •Pinch of thyme
- •Optional: chopped pecans for topping
Directions:
Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet and brown the pork chops on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Add the apples and onions to the same skillet and cook for about 4–5 minutes, until they begin to soften.
Stir together the apple cider, Dijon mustard, maple syrup or honey, cinnamon, and thyme. Pour over the apples and onions, then return the pork chops to the skillet.
Cover and simmer gently until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Remove the lid during the last few minutes and allow the sauce to reduce into a delicious apple-cider glaze.
🍂 Serving idea: Serve with mashed sweet potatoes, roasted green beans, or buttery mashed potatoes.
